| Breaking News |  | Monday, July 11th, 2011: Week's #1 Player Honored by FSL
It was announced today that Dunedin first baseman Luke Hopkins had received the Florida State League Player of the Week Award for his impressive play last week.
All week long he was terrific at the plate and won the honor with a .423 BA (11-26), 3 home runs and 9 RBIs.
Hopkins is batting .321 this season in 85 games with 18 home runs, 70 RBIs and 58 runs scored. He has 109 hits in 340 at-bats.

 | Monday, July 4th, 2011: Córdova Collects Player of the Week Award
Ángelo Córdova burst onto the Florida State League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie first baseman for Vero Beach garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.
The 25-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .500 (14-28) with 5 home runs and 13 RBIs last week.
Thus far in 2011 Córdova is batting .306 with 18 home runs, 66 RBIs and 61 runs scored.

 | Friday, July 1st, 2011: Stewart Belts 5 Hits!
At Tradition Field Ty Stewart was the King of Swing today in the 12-11 win over the Manatees.
The St. Lucie first baseman stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Brevard County and delivered 5 hits.
It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. Unbelieveable. It felt good. It felt great. What a day! 5 for 6! It does wonders for your batting average, too."
T. Stewart flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off H. Rojas in the 11th.
Presently Stewart is batting .267 with 8 home runs and 50 RBIs. He has played in 77 games and scored 34 times.
