Carolina League 07-17-2011 Home | | | Breaking News |  | Wednesday, July 13th, 2011: Myrtle Beach's Clark Shuts Out Warthogs Rex Clark of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans was one tough customer on the hill today. He blanked the Winston-Salem Warthogs 7-0 on 3 hits, registering 10 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"When he's on, he's tough to hit," said the Winston-Salem manager after the game. "He's just a bulldog out there."
|  | Monday, July 11th, 2011: Lynchburg Shuts Out Frederick Pete O'Learie of the Lynchburg Hillcats shut down the Frederick Keys 10-0 on an excellent 2-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 9 strikeouts and allowing 1 walk.
After the game O'Learie said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today. I went right after them and stayed ahead in the count."

He rocked the opposition with a .357 batting average, 10 hits in 28 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBIs while scoring 8 times.
